“Food & Wine” Magazine recently announced the 10 nominees for Best New Chef in America. That list includes Grae Nonas and Michael Fojtasek of Olamaie. Wednesday the influential magazine announced the 100 nominees for the People’s Choice Best New Chef. The nominees are spread out among 10 geographical regions, and readers can vote for the winner. The Southwest region includes Austin chefs Fojtasek and Nonas, along with Allison Jenkins of LaV, Andrew Wiseheart of Gardner (and Contigo) and Alexis Chong, who recently parted ways with Sway. One winner will be named from each of the 10 regions in April.
