Two Austin restaurants have landed on user-generated-review website Yelp’s Top 100 places to eat in the U.S. for 2015.
Arguably Austin’s most famous restaurant, Franklin Barbecue, landed at number 56, while stick-to-your-ribs sandwich food truck Hey! … You Gonna Eat or What? landed at 58. The truck won the Truck by Truckwest competition in Austin in 2013.
The red truck that makes a Shiner-battered take on a Monte Cristo is located at the Picnic trailer park on Barton Springs road.
The list is topped by Copper Top BBQ in Big Pine, California (everyone’s favorite state for barbecue) and Art of Flavors in Las Vegas. Other Texas restaurants in the top 100 include Vietnam Poblano in Houston and Tita’s Taco House in Humble.
